A quick google search will find many ways... A rice cooker heats the contents to boiling, holds that temp for a short time, then reduces to a simmer. I have done many “one pot” meals that way over the years. I make my rice and, at the same time, steam vegetables/meat/fish/pierogies/etc. in a steaming contraption right
