yeah, it’s not like they know more than a bunch of people commenting on a blog or anything.

You obviously haven't read the entire story regarding this kid and his family because of you had you would be saying the opposite. And this is coming from someone that can't stand right wing nut jobs from Texas.

How the hell would you know how much he’s suffered?

I agree they’re dumbasses.

He wasn’t ‘thrown out of a school.’ Hey, but fuck facts, right? There is a chance here to feel self-righteous, and you’re going to take it.

Fuck that. This was the best thing that ever happened to this kid, and he was in no way ‘damaged’ to the point of 15 million dollars.

he won’t, and now the kid looks like a money-grubbing asshat.

Uh, not sure that an impassioned response is equivalent to “bullying.”

Hah! I had a similar reaction. The “child studies” comment is so painfully obfuscating I gave up halfway. I just can’t with the “underpinnings,”the “universals of play,” the overuse of the passive voice and the pronouns game (the subject of the comment starts out as “she” but then switches to “you,” etc.). D+.

Yeah, imagine that. Instead of a nice little circlejerk you might have some differing opinions thrown into the mix. That’d be awful. Probably horrifying and/or terrifying too.

Not making ethnic studies a required course counts as mistreatment Seriously?

No one is using the term freedom of speech that way, and you probably know that. The issue is intellectual freedom, something prized by most faculty and students the preceding 200 years, up until these current times.

When I was a college freshman, fresh off the turnip truck from my white, Podonk hometown where most of the black kids were adoptees, I encountered lots of black kids from the city and the suburbs for the first time.

I’m going to get flamed to hell for this, but fuck it. They ARE privileged to go to Yale, or any Ivy, or any top tier school. There are plenty of students who aren’t allowed in on the basis of what’s effectively race and the cultural divide between their families and “the way America does things”. I don’t see them

I don't hear "Fox et al" trying to muzzle the protestors or prevent them from assembling. They are doing what you say is legitimate: criticizing them for some of the things they are saying. Or is criticism of speech or action only to be directed at white people?

How exactly are they being treated as second class citizens? I keep hearing this over and over, but not a single protestor can give exact examples.

You don’t ‘lose control of your body’ and start openly weeping like, all the time? Especially during formal meetings? Count yourself lucky, friend!

As much as I agree with this article certain points they brought up at the meeting are just asinine. Maybe it’s just how the article words things but it sounds like they want more Minority professionals in the mental health program. In other words, they don’t believe any NON-minority is qualified to help them. To

This is literally mass hysteria.

Whether or not it was a whitey doing the micro-aggression.
