Once at my cousin’s wedding, after a few beers during the cocktail hour, I made my way over to a bowl of what I thought were Wasabi peanuts. After popping a couple in my mouth, I realized it was a bowl for Olive pits. Awesome. Killed all the germs with copious amounts of alcohol.

My older brother (we were both teens) once reheated and ate a two-cup microwaveable container of what he thought was mashed potatoes and gravy, only to discover afterward that it was just gravy. He had diarrhea for several days and I laughed at him. It’s not as funny now that I see it written.

As a kid I was taught it was polite to eat everything your host puts in front of you. On a family trip to Boston when I was nine, I think, we went to a nice restaurant. The kind of place with great service. I drank a glass of water, and somebody was immediately there to refill it. I dutifully drained it. And it was

So Guzan may yet see the field this season.

Except for last summer when he dragged them to a final while Higuain and Aguero took a month-long nap...

There are some decent knives in your list, but I think you missed the boat by not including the Spyderco Dragonfly 2. It is a great “little big knife”, in that it is is quite small and light, but it has plenty of cutting surface for an EDC knife, it has a great clip (far better than any of the kinves in the list) and

Kershaw Leek all day long. I like it so much I’ve bought two of them. I love the SpeedSafe, I love the sliding stub that keeps the blade from deploying accidentally (it never has, to be clear, but the added security is always nice when the blade is located so close to your jewels).

Wish I’d seen the recommend post the other day. No reason I can’t still recommend a nice knife.

Perhaps a poor topic for an actual “best five” pick, given that everyone’s needs are different (a statement I expect to see in the final “Here’s the top pick!” article), but then again it’s nice to have something like this to get some new people in to knives. I own three of the knives listed here (the two kershaws and

I like the Opinel knives because they don’t look unreasonable or too ‘tactical’. If you work in an office setting having a something like the Kershaw or the Spyderco fall out of your bag will cause people to wonder.

Ontario makes some of the best knives I have ever owned, especially for the price point

Vote: SPYDERCO DRAGONFLY 2 SALT

You left out the $450 part and most people that are going to spend that on an EDC knife are just going to get a Sebenza.

One word, if it's only metaphorical. Two words, if it's Delonte West.
