Yeah, sometimes it feels like they almost manufacture a connection to a recent event, but even when that’s not the case, it’s weird that they get overly sensitive about less than 0.001% of the tragedies that happen in the country while simultaneously either ignoring or actively exploiting the rest (how many “Law and

In a strange way I find this consideration for the victims, families, public, etc.. more disturbing than had people seen the show and drawn parallels without being angry at the inconsideration of airing it. Of course, that doesn’t happen. People would have been upset with the show, network, etc.. had they aired it.

Really? Was the scene that much more similar to the recent, highly publicized shooting than, say, all the damn shootings that happen every single day in this country? If so, is delaying it a week going to make it better because the country will have collectively forgotten about it by then? Actually, given the American

Doesn’t pass the “reality logic” test, no matter what the math is saying. Think about it: A door through a wall still has a door, even on the other side. Passing through the black hole to another universe — would the black hole suddenly cease to exist? That would be the only way you’re not sucked right back in. He

Yeah, Infinity War Part 2 will be the culmination of everything Marvel have been working towards for 11 years. Literally everyone is going to be in it. Why do you think we haven’t heard an ‘Avengers, assembly’ on screen yet? Because it’ll carry a bit more weight when there are 30+ characters assembling.

I follow the Marvel Cinematic Universe closely.

If remaking an old movie ruins anyone’s childhood, they were probably really imbalanced, and likely to go at any time regardless.

I dunno, if they emphasize the “Tinker” in tinkerbell, I may be coaxed with a cookie into seeing it.

Ooh, I didn’t even think about it being a prequel. That might work wonderfully. Just have a short, super spy adventure.

Weaving was so good though. I hope he reconsiders if they decide to bring him back.

I think they hand-waved it with something in the atmosphere preventing beaming? But still, shuttlecraft.

This scene made no sense in Into Darkness, mostly because there was absolutely no reason for the Enterprise to be underwater on that planet other then to blatantly violate the Prime Directive. The Enterprise could have just stayed in orbit and then beamed Kirk, McCoy, and Spock off the planet when they were done.

So let’s not do away with Batman and Superman quite yet. But let’s be glad we live in a time where their made-for-TV equivalents are so damn entertaining.

I respectfully disagree. It’s time to let Star Trek go. It’s already had several tv series of various quality, and a bunch of movies of mostly bad quality. It’s had its day in the sun. Time for new ideas, new worlds, new concepts. We’ve already got a huge amount of Star Trek, especially compared to any other sci fi

It’d probably be a while, but I could see CBS doing a network Trek, especially as those raised on Next Gen, et al age higher into their demographic.

That’s very true, and it’s funny how much it’s being embraced by the networks too. It used to be that genre was something Fox would try once a season and cancel quickly. Now every network has at least one genre show. Hell, The CW has three full nights a week that’s nothing BUT genre.

I’d definitely rather see a well thought out She-Hulk legal series than a shittily-done Wonder Woman film. Of course, if Jessica Jones does well, we may end up with both...

Yes, that was weird and illogical. Well; that is if we should believe Two means everything she says to others, emotionally and factually. Personally I think she’s the most purely evil and sociopathic of the bunch.

All these Firefly characterizations are weaksauce. Whedon didn’t invent the rogues-on-starships thing

The shows sexual politics are juvenile. Not only are the women ashamed of sex, the men objectify Two, treat her like property and even the Special Guest Merc got rapey. It’s made worse by the fact that 1) Two is the best character and 2) One is the worst character and the writers think he holds dominion over her
