What show was delayed because of the Pandemic? Also it took a moment to get adjust for JLD because my instant reaction due to the surroundings was ‘...Selina?’.

Yep. I go and read that every so often when I need a lift. Think I’ll go do that right now!
I don’t think LW#1 should write her ex a letter. Sure, it might feel good to give him a piece of her mind, and I guess there’s a non-zero chance that it will make him feel badly about how he treated her. But by and large, terrible exes don’t just morph into thoughtful people a year (and one new boyfriend) later. If…
I was mildly interested until the phrases “authentic life” and “living in an intentional way” popped up.
He can’t be any worse than the guest hosts that have already gone through. Ken Jennings is devoid of any personality, Katie Couric still sounds like a newscaster, Aaron Rodgers puts me to sleep, and Dr. Oz is Dr. Oz. The only one that’s been any good has been Mike Richards, who ain’t getting the job.
Gotta’ get Patrick Stewart to record a Tiktok video supporting Burton as host saying, “Make it so, Sony!” in his best Jean Luc Picard voice.
To be fair, is anything right now comparable to Barry?
I loved the crestfallen Civil War theme after the fight with the Dora Milaje when Walker said with complete inadequacy, “They weren’t even super-soldiers.” I thought I was past the point where I could feel bad for the guy, but at that moment I was struck by the fact that everything he has tried to do since putting on…
Sam was acting more like Captain America in this episode than the guy with the name and shield.
Yeah this was an improvement but there’s still too much dumb writing, baffling storytelling lapses, and poor directing to really redeem this show from being a disappointment. A few examples:
Yep, a definite step up, and step forward, from last week’s episode. I like how Zemo’s murder of the scientist guy wasn’t forgotten by Sam, because that was a big complaint of mine last week.
I really admire how smart the show is being with its politics. Everybody is right! Zemo fearing the rise of inevitably…
Future generations will sing songs of your bravery.
Enjoyed this episode and considered a vast improvement of the previous, as small of a hurdle as that is. It was still really dumb a lot of the time, but in a way that wasn’t distracting and it had those character moments that allowed just being in that moment in the screen. Although I will admit I was a bit amused how…
The only way they can salvage the horrible idea of making yet another indiana jones film after the humiliatingly bad Crystal Skull is by making Waller-Bridge herself “the” next Indiana Jones. I’d enjoy her as a central character adventurous globe-trotting pseudo-archeologist.
90% of the film is going to her doing motor-mouthed, awkward quipping while Harrison Ford looks on bemusedly.
I love her. And also John Williams is coming out of unofficial retirement to score it? How can I be so excited to hear news about a project I don’t want to happen?
Power. That’s gotta be it.
Fun fact, it evidently originated as “eternal damnation.” -> ‘ternal ‘nation, tarnation.
