Mostly subcutaneously into your stomach - when I bruised (which I didn’t always), they’d be about the size of a fingerprint. Some people then have to do intramuscular progesterone shots, which are more round the back of your upper thigh, I believe.

I did one round of IVF and the shots caused crazy bruises and i was a HAWT mess emotionally. (who am I kidding i still am and it was 2 months ago) but if you were apart from your spouse and had someone to drive you to the retrieval then its possible I guess. Im curious how she can sue for child support if her spouse…

I didn’t have any bruises from doing the shots - and I did IVF 4 times. I don’t think it would be super hard to hide it if you were so inclined.

It’s quite possible that someone along the line confused IVF with artificial insemination, that happens a lot. Artificial insemination does not require hormone shots or any preparation at all, other than tacking your ovulation, and it is very possible to do without anyone knowing.

I’ve done in vitro once and while it involved a series of visits and shots, I probably could hide it. The day of the egg extraction and the subsequent implantation were pretty tiring and required rest for the day, but if you had your days free, you could likely keep it secret.
