I just watched this with my 7 year old son, which was a totally amazing experience. I love how it gets more and more insane as the film goes on. Not only the story, but the performances, lines, etc. become incredibly ridiculous by the end. Such a great film.

How about they just do a remastered theatrical re-release/high quality re-dubbing (a la Studio Ghibli style), save a ton of money, piss relatively fewer people off, and still bring new fans to the film? It seems like a MUCH better idea.
