To be really pedantic and very much a nerd, “America” as a term includes more than just USA. It includes North America, Central America, and South America. So given that the immigrants are Americans, the US immigration policy is indeed anti-American.

why are we pretending like the parents are not culpable in this? Yes, the family was brought into custody. But they risked their child’s life knowing full well what awaited them. A journey of the length these children have undergone could level full grown healthy adults.
