It’s amazing how neatly this (depressingly common) opinion showcases how we consider men the default and women a weird aberration.

To give you a sense of how much Republican lawmakers care about women, take this vignette from Senator Pat Roberts today. When asked by a TPM reporter if he supported repealing Obamacare, Roberts sarcastically responded, “I wouldn’t want to lose my mammograms.”

That whole Twitter thread about mammograms was “men get breast cancer too” JFC, screening women for breast cancer just isn’t enough isn’t it, it’s only worth something if men benefit. I’m so angry right now.

Actually no, the prez said more than nothing, he gave an interview where he said roughly, ‘sometimes it’s actually the people being targeted who are the ones making the threats’ and now this utter piece of shit just gave him and his idiot followers (about 20% of the population) validity.
