I figure that a vacation is a good excuse to get a fancy latte and a pastry out every single morning.

Is this what they mean by ”finding you True North"?
I’m hoping BD Wong’s character finds redemption by showing up with a dinosaur-fighting spider with eight of Jackson’s arms in place of its legs.
Wild that in all this talk about animation there’s still no mention of the director shift to Joaquim Dos Santos, the guy responsible for this:
The Luke/Leia scene gets me, too. There is a theme John Williams wrote for Return of the Jedi for them as brother and sister. It’s always been one of my favorite pieces of music from the OT and it never gets used much. The concert arrangement doesn’t get played at concerts often and I thought it was a waste of a…
I had to look that one up too - that movie was *such* a disappointment to me, because the Black Cauldron is the start of a really excellent series. Maybe someone will adapt it for tv, now that fantasy is marketable? It’s pretty epic in its own right. The whole “taran goes off on his own to work out his issues” book 4…
Shout out to Lauren Faust, who did most of the animation on Sawyer.
Sheesh, between this and Quest for Camelot, she had a rough go of it before she switched to television.
I mean, her getting pregnant wasn’t the mystery; she & Vision got frisky at the beginning of the episode. The mystery part was her suddenly being so far along.
I suspect B.A.R.F. is involved.
8 is so fucking forgettable and it’s a damn shame because it’s got such a great cast.
I dislike the majority of the films of Adam Sandler. He is possessed of multiple talents that are rarely caught in their brightest light. You know, like here. Sandler’s comedy always seemed to me to be attached to a barely constrained rage, and this film underscored that for me. Restraining the rage and letting it…
We were really into something back then. That shit was Comfy as Hell!
Wow you can really tell this is one of your favorites. This articulation of what makes the movie so great is almost as gentle and sweet as the movie itself. Fantastic read.
It is remarkable how much she has straightened herself out as an adult (aside from the multiple divorces) and that she has continued to have a good career. So many child star stories don’t end so well.
Barrymore's anachronistically 90s haircut in this movie drives my wife insane.
When I first watched this movie, as someone who remembers 1985, the lack of attention to the actual year annoyed me. Also, Drew Barrymore’s hairstyle and choker were way more 90's than 80's. I guess she didn’t want a full layering/feathering of her hair, but still. Drew should be old enough to remember 80's hair.
Bob Dylan, Neil Diamond, and Carole King. How the fuck do any of them get left off this list??
I think it's the only Sevendust song I've ever heard, and while they are not at all the type of music I normally listen to, I think you would have to be a cynical jerk to not be affected by the emotion and sadness of the song. Apparently there are two versions, one recorded with members of Snot, and one that they…
I was sure no one here would admit to liking this song, but I agree.
Also in the same vein, "Angel's Son" by Sevendust, written for James Lynn Strait, deceased lead singer of Snot. It fits on this list, because at least one member of Sevendust played with Snot.
