I am very, very lucky that I work in a Malcolm Tucker-vocabulary-accepting place.

My most hated thing that I see a lot recently is "covers", as in, "appears on the cover of" ("La Patrona covers Vogue", etc) — it's so bloody fake-jargon-y, it makes me want to throw magazines at walls.

Ha, that's what I was like with ours. The registry was full of stuff that wasn't very exciting, BUT it was all useful (we were both moving across the world so we had absolutely no household belongings).

Yeah, it's always tricky to switch between two "ways of being", and I only have to do it in really minor ways where not much is at stake (my family make fun of my "American" accent when it slips out, but often Americans couldn't understand me when I was being full-on English).
