His legacy to me: 2nd greatest basketball player of all-time, and I stand by that. Fierce competitor. Intelligent and imaginative businessman. Wonderful father. Flawed husband. A complicated son and brother. A fierce yet guarded friend. A mentor.

He was a hero. To millions of boys and girls everywhere, and 4 right in his own home.

He made restitution for the rape incident.  He then went on to have multiple children with his wife.  Obviously she wasn’t concerned about his character or think he was a monster.

He may have, indeed.  But he also made restitution to her, a restitution she agreed to with counsel.  He then apologized to her and his wife for the incident.  He went on to save his marriage in 2011, become a wonderful father and advocate for women everywhere.

I hope for the 63rd they do a special tribute to Kobe, one of their most significant award winners.

When Kobe asked MJ what he was doing at age 12 to work on and enhance his basketball skills, MJ smiled and replied, “I was playing baseball.”

I think she uses the term rightly.  As the head of this particular household she is clearly implying that she needs one in submission to her in hierarchy but equal to her in responsibility related to the home and children.  She is also making a value judgment of they type of care she requires, that of a wife, not

I would have said $86,000 is the dream salary for watching kids.  I mean they’re in school for 8hrs a day.  I would have thought $18,000 would be more than sufficient.

For men, having children is a pretty straight deal. You are the provider, and your wife rears them and handles all the nuances of child care. You then fill in the gaps with your presence, discipline and time. This is division of labor and cooperation. For women it must be exhausting to be the provider and need someone

I am glad that if it was Gianna’s time, that she didn’t die alone.  She had her daddy with her.

Obviously, it is in a governments best interests for its citizens to engage in sexual activity within the bonds of matrimony. This fosters foundational relationship building between couples. It helps create security for any resulting children. It also ensures healthy communities and reduces all types of issues related

He is irreplaceable to his wife and daughters. To his close friends. To his estranged parents and siblings. He is irreplaceable to scores of journalists and news anchors who broke down overwhelmed by emotions while reporting and discussing him yesterday. He was irreplaceable to all the athletes he invested time and

He was famous because he played a grown man’s game better than most could imagine. He was famous for his competitive fire and leadership style. He won a Grammy and was the author of numerous children’s books. He was a doting father, coach and good friend. He saved his marriage from ruin twice due to his love for his

I would say they are not a “bump” but part of his history. We can’t erase it and it does make him a much more complex person and his story less palatable...but in the end his fruit is such that it was a “blip” on his 41yrs here. He moved passed it, saved his marriage, fathered 4 children, never stopped achieving and

I believe that certainly the settlement was agreed upon to ensure that her side of the story was given credence and his presumption of innocence maintained.  I doubt she was specifically paid not to testify, but urged to settle to avoid a host of negatives that would come about if it went to trial where she would

2nd greatest player ever, and I stand by that.

There were a lot of gritty details to the event in Colorado. She never testified in court and he settled in a civil suit afterward. He always maintained his innocence and after that incident and again in 2011 he fought for and saved his own marriage. He had 4 beautiful daughters. He was not a “rapist” but may have

The Colorado incident was shocking. I think he did the right thing by his wife and he did the right thing by the girl to settle in a civil suit. The evidence seemed to suggest that he committed adultery and objectified her in doing so. It also suggests that she had other partners and may have been trying to save face

2nd greatest player ever, I stand by that.

I think we all know that occurred.  We know he saved his marriage from falling apart twice!  We know that the girl in Colorado’s history was suspect and we know that he confessed to her not “believing” the even was consensual though he did.  He moved passed that.  He has been a beacon.
