MN9 is in QA, I’m presuming you want their staff to stay employed right? MN9 can’t fund new games until it’s actually released. So there’s 3 months were Inafune can’t pay the development team to do absolutely no work. Hence the Kickstarter and getting them working on a new project.

Really? I’m sure more people have been asking for Re: Digitize Decode. Sure, it came first, but it is more reminiscent of the first Digimon World that Cyber sleuth is and that’s why folks have been clamoring for it. Re: Digitize also did better in sales, so I’m not really sure where you are getting your numbers.
