One franchise invented the post-apocalypse genre, the other is an incredibly popular manga series. Neither are shitty.

Mad Max is one of the best films of the year, and it’s expertly shot/directed. Don’t like it, fine, it’s not “shitty” by any stretch of the imagination.

Man, seeing all these Pokemon in relatively modern 3D graphics just ups my sadness that Nintendo will never release a full-fledged console Pokemon game.

It sounding “awesome” says so much more about you than it does about the article. Actually, it’s pretty hilarious that the article is about keywords that developers ALWAYS throw out to make a game sound good and here you are defending a game that has nothing but marketing spiel and a single concept image with it.

I could not disagree more. The best games that has come out these past 3 years have all been crowdfunded and it’s the only way developers can actually make what they want rather than have some publishers tell em what they should do.

Well, the thing is, if we don’t crowdfund them, the AAA won’t either. Not crowdfunding doesn’t mean that they’ll suddenly receive funding from a large company, only that they won’t receive any funding whatsoever, sadly enough.

Either we help fund, or these games aren’t made. Big companies want the next BIG thing, not these niche games. So you’re literally helping the demise of these niche titles.
