There’s an intrinsic guilt to dragging a friend through a bunch of content they just played, even when they tell you it’s fine.

Yeah, your kid isn’t going to figure out healthy eating on their own, he’s a kid. My parents let me eat whatever I wanted when I was a kid, we’d have cases upon cases of pop in our house at all times, along with a bunch of unhealthy snacks. I didn’t change my eating habits until I was almost 30 and I still slide back

Yeah I'll bet you played it to completion...

Another problem that probably should have been caught before the next-generation console launched but hey, at least this console has backward compatibility, unlike the stupid, stupid PS4.

Easy, Xbox 720, Xbox 1080 No Scope, etc., etc.

I personally like review scores and find them useful for the same reason you gave. They provide a nice bird’s eye view of the general reception of a game. For me they function as a starting point to gauge if I then want to dig further into the details via the written portion of reviews.

Man, my history of old consoles is rough. When I was a kid I babied them. Then over the years, for whatever various reasons, I either lost them or sold them or gave them to friends when I felt I was dipping out of gaming...

But my SNES - my original SNES, given to me by my old cousin, sits in the corner of my living

I’m glad I wasn’t the only one. Marvel season wasn’t bad gameplay-wise, but it was the least interesting, with skins I felt took less effort than having to create something from scratch. I really do hope this isn’t going to be a constant trend for every season. I liked Fortnite for its Fortnite-original stuff. I don’t

I used to brush and floss religiously and still have cavities and bleeding gums during dentist visits. I switched to a no-sugar/no-processed diet a couple years ago (for health reasons) and found that my dental health has also been impeccable since then regardless of my brushing/flossing habits. What you eat matters

To be fair, very few people end up in the careers their parents want them in. My dad wanted me to be a dentist to follow in his footsteps. My mom wanted me to be anything but a lawyer so that I wouldn’t follow in hers.

Why go there? It’s clearly meant to be an anti-black university. Some institutions don’t need to evolve, they need to die out as progress makes them irrelevant.

God I love that episode.

Better tell the knights in the mystical Order of Standards and Practices

lol, this is what I thought. A while back I saw an article titled “Non-believers are more likely to own cats than Christians.” I commented asking how many non-believers own Christians and they ended up changing the title.

There’s too high a percentage of sociopaths and idiots within our society for this to be a viable model, I’m sorry.

This is true. I’m actually using an extension to re-enable this feature. I just couldn’t shake off the muscle memory of using backspace to go back. :)

Exactly. I in fact had to install an extension that forces chrome to go back when I press backspace.

There are so many real problems tho, I wish AOC was more pragmatic. This seems like a big fat waste of time.

This is why I ignore reviews from reviewers I don’t know. They may very well be good at what they do, but I don’t know their tastes or their background so I don’t know how well it will match with my own and thus bring value to my purchase decision making.

Considering i just read a review that diss Tsushima as “it felt like japanese culture made by foreigner which then failed in every aspect of it.
