I'll admit it. If it gets renewed, I'll still be tuning in. I'm a sucker. And a shipper who will wade through a lot of crap in the hopes of that scene we're never going to get.

Yeah, that'll be a tough one to wriggle out of plot wise unless he's in that there ship.

Exactly. Or maybe CSM and William together come to collect our heroes.

Eh, they just seemed superfluous. I'd have preferred to have established characters involved in the story.

Yeah, I at least wanted someone sucked up or something.

Agreed, Carter is not talentless, I think he just needs a fuller writers room or someone to push back when he is not on track. I'm thinking no one is able to call him on things being shit.

And I still don't see the point of Tweedledum and Tweedledumber. I would have been more engaged if Reyes were helping Scully and Skinner had been the one to track down Mulder. Clones not needed.

It wasn't great, but it wasn't as bad as this review for me. I think what this episode really lacked was one of the key elements of the show. Mulder and Scully interaction. They had one scene together in a high stress action sequence. This show works because the characters are its heart, something that Carter

Mary's not going anywhere, George is the heir to Downton and she's pledged her life to maintaining it for him. And it's not like speedy mcbland has an estate of his own to take her to.

Okay, this list fails miserably for not including Mad Men. Perfect encapsulation of the themes and mood of the show. I'd also consider American Horror Story as they have had some pretty amazing credits, and also, strangely Downton Abbey. It never grates during a binge watch, it transports the viewer into the time

It's not.

My circle had thought for a long time that maybe Edith was Rosamund's love child as well.

lol…I almost said that last night.

Of course they don't come down on Mary at the expense of Edith. Edith is this family's Meg Griffin. At one point there were back to back episodes in which Edith's fiance was declared dead and in the next breath the family was listening to Mary plan a picnic and in the next episode Robert wanted to cancel dinner

I agree, it seemed pretty obvious what her issue was. But she also turned down Matthew when he wasn't going to inherit anymore at one point, so the other option wasn't completely unjustified (that and the fact that she said it was about position over and over again).

Edith was the one who said it wasn't the right time, because she didn't want to upset Mary who's beau had just flown the coop. (And likely because she also didn't want to have it announced before she came clean with Bertie).

So basically Edith acted towards Mary for one scene like Mary acts towards Edith every time she acknowledges her existence so that makes it okay for Mary to ruin her entire life.

Both are marvelous characters for me. I have had it with Mary, but she's a ton of fun to hate and certainly entertaining. Just as I find Edith entertaining and a bit more sympathetic. I'd actually like to give major props to Laura Carmichal for creating such a nuanced character with a character that was more thinly

In my head the word was stronger than bitch.

I would assume that she enjoys her power to kill based on her general behavior.
