Method is a legit acting discipline that has been utterly destroyed by egotistic asshole gas giants.

I want someone to explain to me why he's funny. I rewatched his routines, and I don't get them.

Not to mention the design of

Everything I’ve read and seen about Kaufman has convinced me the guy was a giant a-hole.

High heeled sandal boots for when your calves are always cold but your toes get too hot. And the perfect dress for when every part of your body is hot, except your neck and one arm. That whole outfit is kind of fascinating.

My aunt worked with Kaufman! She haaaated him. She was always adamant that real geniuses were his costars because they had to improv faster than him to keep everything from going completely off the rails.

And people just leap to defend them, as though the performances they put out are worth it. That’s nonsense of course, given that there are plenty of actors, as evidenced right here by Meryl Streep, who manage to do stellar work without behaving in insane, unreasonable, and outright abusive ways on set. She has put out

Don’t forget Daniel Day Lewis!!!

Thanks to Jared Leto and Jim Carrey, I now assume method acting is an excuse to act like a raging asshole to your costars.

Now playing

I saw Questlove make a fine suggestion on FB today: let’s all celebrate Ronnie Spector today rather than talk about Phil Spector.

The plot twist Orson Welles wishes he could have imagined.

The new Lana song is sooooooo boring, and yes her schtick is played out. I was a huge fan but so many of the albums are very unremarkable, I have barely listened to over half of her work b/c she is too prolific. For some reason she just decided to churn out so much content, rather than try to write a more sparse

I wonder if I’m just bored of her schtick, or if it’s tired out on its own.

I mean 1980s Cairo looks NOTHING like how they depicted in that movie. No matter what time frame or what city Hollywood MUST depict the ME as a dirt filled village with the oblivious kids playing barefoot in the street, devoid of any modern technology or amenities. I’m over it.

or Steve the pilot thinking it's a great idea to beer into explosive fireworks, cause it's romantic?

WW84 was such a let down for me. The anti-Middle East rhetoric was alarming and so 2001. The focus on a dude that Diana knew and hung out with for a few days becoming a point of obsession is disappointing. And the film blaming Barbara/seeing her as a villain for fighting against an abuser that physically assaulted her

The movie was such a let down. I liked it for the most part but I found myself constantly asking what was happening or why something happened. I can ignore a few inconsistencies or questionable things about a movie if my enjoyment at the moment is high but with WW84. I kept going “Wait what?”. I was so disappointed

My biggest problem with it was the far inferior soundtrack compared to the first one. also Steve knowing how to fly a modern jet fighter(but not one with the range of a transatlantic flight) but not knowing about escalators and subway cars despite both existing in 1917 when he died. Also that first action scene in the

I actually LOVED Max. He is maybe the first Latino to be in a big superhero movie as a main character, and the fact that they focused on how his experience as a 1st generation American shaped his personality felt extremely personable to me. Anyone who has ever been made fun of for bringing ethnic food to school as a
