X-Men was solid but I still think that Blade marked the true start of the modern superhero film.  Blade was not campy or ‘comicbooky’ at all--it was a legit vampire action movie that’s probably one of (if not the) Wesley Snipes’ most iconic roles.

It’s not just you. I’ve heard a lot of people say that Janelle Monae’s music wasn’t for them when I tried to put them on over the years. They all unanimously agreed that she was incredibly talented beyond 98% of her peers though.

If only we could get a Fantastic Four film that was basically a 100 minute long family dramedy....like what the Robert Aguirre-Sacasa run was.

I take it you haven’t been to the South. There are still first-run theaters that have $5 tickets. They are rare but they do exist. A lot of these theaters are older but.....that’s okay because the ticket is $5.

They have powers but ultimately the best FF stories revolves around the fact that they are a family with superpowers. And executives can’t say that that film can’t be made.…
