Getting it right would have entailed removing the hybrid hardware, especially the heavy battery just as they do on the GT3 car, and lowering the price down to around $120,000 where the GT-R is.
Why hasn’t anybody thought about helping the Boomers?
Alonso on the other hand...
As it turns out, overregulation and placating every last environmental group might actually end up making more environmentally-friendly development prohibitively expensive.
The sill is low, but at 6'3" here once you duck on entry there is actually a good amount of headroom. The GT-R has a similar problem.
In person in the right color, the Supra looks a lot more exotic.
What does a stage 1 remap get you to on the Abarth?
…like the Supra?
Toyota had just as much input on the Supra as the GR86…
The price difference (~20%!) is huge for the same performance specs as the Supra. And the Supra sounds better, is lighter, more rigid, more practical, and has a better ride/handling balance. Plus, in a sports car a nicer interior isn’t the focus like it is in a luxury barge. Even then, the Supra’s interior and build…
If you’re watching DTS for its journalistic integrity or authenticity, then you’re going to be disappointed. There definitely have been some big misses in terms of good stories left out, but if you’re watching it to be entertained (like most people are) then you’ll be much less disappointed.
If DTS were to go away,…
Gross.
Even though it has been reviewed better, I think it would sell about as well as the 4C then...
The pricing would be the big question. If they tried to price it like the Alfa 4C, e.g. above $60k, then I don’t think many folks would take it, since you are approaching Cayman territory. If it was priced around $50k, then it would be pretty competitive against the Supra and higher spec Mustangs and Camaros.
My point was that if we’re being consistent, Harris’s “Oktoberfest in a kimono” dig applies no less to Lambos. They’re la dolce vita in Lederhosen. And yet many, including Harris, still like them.
The Alfa 4C has a dual-clutch transmission, not an automated manual.
Except Harris didn’t hate the Huracán for being a rebadged R8. It’s completely subjective and not even related to how good the actual car is or isn’t.
The extra 34 hp isn’t an increase for the new model. Mercedes just hadn’t brought the S to the US yet. The S version always had 416 hp, but it was only sold in markets like Europe. So are you saying that Mercedes will be selling the S in the US now? Otherwise, it looks like the facelift won’t include more power.
As opposed to other C8s that are for...rich buyers who don’t do track days?
