It’s kind of like what the offspring of the Supra and 86 would look like. The N/A engine, manual, dated interior, and price of the 86 meets the extra room and power of the Supra.

This. Without the rear seats, the car loses a lot of usability. If you have dogs, small children, or enjoy road trips, a backseat (even a vestigial one) is a big selling point. And the 911, Lotus Evora, etc. prove it doesn’t have to compromise its driving dynamics one bit.

Right. I think it often gets confused with the market cap, which is really a metric for the expectation of future profit. Uber, Tesla, et al. could end up being the next Amazon. But their inflated market caps could also be analogous to those of the myriad companies that died in the dotcom bubble.

Market cap isn’t what a company is “worth”.  That’s enterprise value.  By that metric Ford is worth 174 billion to Uber’s 21 billion.

Remember when performance cars were set up with a great balance between performance and comfort from the factory?

How’d Dodge squeeze in a V10 up front in the Viper, while keeping the height 1.8" lower? By lengthening the hood...

4.6" taller isn’t that tall...

Maybe, but the Lotus Evora, which is also a direct Cayman competitor, was able to squeeze in a 2+2 layout with its engine in the middle!

Wait, you can’t make a sports car with an I-6 a 2+2 because it’s too long?  What’s a BMW M2 then?

I hear they need special fire extinguishers too.

You mean apart from the i8 that came out two years earlier and $10,000 cheaper?

Except the people who would try to draw a distinction between the original NSX and contemporaneous Ferraris or air-cooled Porsches have no facts behind them. All of them were N/A with hydraulic steering and manuals. Today, though, you can still buy a manual N/A 911 GT3, which is a substantive difference in “purity” com

Except it’s slower than the cheaper supercars of more prestigious brands today...

Except that kid is unremarkable, but costs more than kids who are more remarkable.

What are you doing trying to bring facts into this? Did it matter to the formidable journalistic integrity of this clickbait title that 75% of Puerto Rico is white too? Of course not! Emotion over facts isn’t just popular on the right, unfortunately.

I can hear the deep voice of the commercial made from the run now:

Dang!  Did the Prius make it though?

Or we can just continue enjoying the superior aesthetic experience provided by ICE cars and focus on carbon sequestration.

So is Cadillac trying to make the move to autonomous pod cars without steering wheels less painful by making their steering wheels as jumbled and ugly as possible?

C.S. Lewis was actually pretty pro-Catholic on a number of theological issues.
