Those kindergartners weren’t capable of the rage and shame that these teens can dole out. Those kindergartners weren’t about to vote. I truly believe this can finally change. I’ve been telling anyone that would listen that this generation is gonna save us...I just wish it hadn’t taken this to get folks to believe.

Connie Chung and Maury Povich donated too 🤗

I’m not sure whether this hypothetical person is alive or dead and I don’t think it’s very funny. These kids are literally the best people in the country, moving us in directions we didn’t even know possible. They are the change we’ve always wanted to see and it’s so damn beautiful to be witnessing this in real time.

I am one of those olds who is like KIDS THESE DAYS SO ENTITLED GET OFF MY LAWN, but I have been SO impressed with the poise and drive of these kids in turning a bad situation into action.

I can’t stop crying over what these poor kids have had to go through, but I am so proud that these kids are our future. This is the first time in my adult life that I’ve been hopeful about any real common sense gun legislature passing. And it is 100% because of these children. I hope the NRA and all their A+ rated

I love Johnny but I can’t stand Tara. And I don’t even know why! I just feel like she talks too much - as in, over the programs, being a bit harsh when the skaters make mistakes.

She’s innocent. That’s the reason you’re confused. No life jacket, alcohol, choppy dangerous water, equipment not suited for the task... it was an accident, that’s all.

I’m glad he turned it down. It doesn’t seem right that he would be commenting on figure skating when he is part of Team USA. This Olympics aren’t over and how do you go from being an athlete one day and then commenting on your fellow skaters the next? I will be happy to see him as a commentator during the next

Oh girl, I am sorry. :( That is BAD BOYFRIENDING. I mean it would be fine if he had A Thing against Valentine’s Day (like whatever, but okay) and used his words, like a grown-up, to say something to that effect in advance? But to 1) pretend like he didn’t think you’d have any kind of expectation that the day even be

If anyone wants a thread to debrief from a miserable Valentine’s Day, this is it.

I’ve not visited trumpdating.com (nor will I), but I’m pretty sure that there are an awful lot of deceptive dating sites out there. Ones that create a large number of very specific front pages to lure people in and then just toss all of the profiles into the same blender.

“Where are you from” is a very normal small talk stock question, and isn’t offensive. Asking “what country are you from?” gets you in much stickier territory. There aren’t many times I’d ask a fellow English speaker that question, though! If it’s at all ambiguous, the answer comes up naturally enough in the course of

Its’s ok when you ask someone where they’re from. It’s not ok when you follow up with “no, but where are you from........”

I was late to the Chrissy train because I couldn’t figure out why the lip sync battle host had a cookbook but I started following her on Twitter and damn it, I love her. She’s smart and funny and it seems like she and her husband have a great partnership. And her kid is just too cute.

Okay. Was just wondering if that was the same account, but, you’re right, I don’t really pay close attention - they’re both ubiquitous. Dog is cute, but I’m good. I could just look at my mom’s cat pictures on FB.

Also a burner so no1curr, I very rarely engage on Jez largely because of the attitudes held by MD and those like him.

Or you could read and listen to her reasons for that. MD doesn’t need you to defend him.

Is this the same guy who posts a picture of his dog every day, as some sort of love-me symbol? ‘Cause I won’t lie, that’s annoying as fuck. There. I said what I said.

Mortal Dictata: a call out

THANK YOU. You put this far more eloquently than I could have.
