At most, watch the first and last episode, or just read the internet synopsis.

I am excited about the names! But the exposition dialogue felt really stilted, like there was "Make a speech" box the writers needed to tick off.

New York needs to stop avoiding its destiny and accept what it really is.

This is Danny believing what he's been led to understand, the Hand is a threat who will kill everyone in K'un Lun. He failed, so he figures everyone he grew up with is dead. A bit like Captain America assuming everyone he knew died due to old age.

I do agree on Danny. It is fair to criticize the actor for not doing well with the dramatic material he was given here, though.

I don't love it, but it feels suitable for the character/show.

THATS A DAMN LIE

Only thing I disagree with the reviewer about, I loved that teaser with Alexandra and Elektra.

Ugh. That was an asshole remark and there is absolutely no reason to be ashamed of a cool nickname. (Pretty sure his family calls him Franklin which is just awful)

According to Daredevil comic canon, Stick should be dying soon, but I don't think the Defenders would care that much, really.

Superheroes are required by law to be mean to each other and fight when they first meet.

He wasn't part of the original story planning.

I admit I prefer characterization of Danny where he is mild-mannered. His anger runs deep but silently. More like the Cox plays Matt Murdock. This characterization of Danny as a loudmouth seems really off to me.

Certainly. Its odd that Danny isn't that different—socially—from Batman, yet Batman isn't really disliked for being a rich asshole. (He's disliked IN WORLD for being a rich asshole, and satirized for it in Real Life, which isn't the same thing.)

The way Iron Fist did? And then got a Season 2 okayed?

In writing, you must grab your reader within the first sentence. People make their decisions on whether to keep going on that. (Plus your synopsis, possibly title) I don't know if they do it differently in tv land, but in general, I decide if I'm going to watch an entire episode of something within the first 10

Personally, I think the second to last is the climax of Iron Fist.

I dunno, Danny is the kind of guy who knowingly ignores laws that require him to have a drivers license because "I'm rich!" He's pretty aware of his privilege.

I hope Stick does his Obiwan Kenobi death scene to free her from the Hand.

The guy who made Guardians of the Galaxy said he'd be interested in making a Moon Knight movie.
