In fairness, when an actor associates his character with Trump, he runs the risk of people going, "Okay, here is *how* the character might be like Trump." I think it was a flawed comparison, by both actor and critic, though.

Dr Strange's buddies were in the Real World. They have the internet.

I have loved all the Netflix Marvel villains, even though they are not always well written. Even Blacksmith had a charismatic presence; he just needed a better backstory.

Punisher wasn't the problem with DD season 2, though. Blacksmith and poorly characterized ninja armies was.

This is how they get away from the White Savior trope. Danny is basically a Mighty Whitey who *stole* power and everybody in K'un L'un is mad at him.

Part of Danny's trauma is from losing his society and being forced into a completely different one. Like the way Captain America lost his 1940s society and never really gets over that loss.

Gao was deliberately not allowing Harold to contact Joy. If Ward had told Joy, the implication is that the Hand might've killed her. Being allowed to even look at Joy was a 'reward'. Considering that Harold had secret cameras on Ward? That implies the Hand controlled everything Harold was in contact with.

She knows they're stick-to-walls zombies..

So she's Doctor McCoy?

Sounds like me. But how does using a piece of someone else's culture compare to spouting a religious philosophy wrong?

That sounds closer to the book version, where Danny confronts Harold and basically walks away.

Philosophy does not equal physical skill at fighting. Danny never loses his physical skills even though he is rebelling against the principles he was taught. He does lose his magic. And I am dubious that an alien dimension that only accesses Earth every 15 years is really the most pure offshoot of Buddhism.

First episode was the worst, but the scene where we are introduced to Harold is genuinely good all around.

I'm a girl and didn't buy Colleen's portrayal. Poor writing is a constant, I'm afraid.

I enjoyed the twist, even if it makes Colleen an Elektra Lite because I think their personalities are still different, but never felt the chemistry with Danny. It might be the terrible writing of him.

Canon.

Outsiders join the Hand all the time, though. Its not out of possibility that Gao joined the Hand after DD hurt her organization. With her connections/power, maybe she demanded a commensurate about of control of her underlings—all Chinese connected/trained, etc.

K'un L'unians are supposedly immortal.

They showed the first two episodes for the theater premier, for the actors/critics.

The Jewel costume identity hasn't been suitable for Jessica for ages. If she had continued being a costumed superhero, she'd have switched costumes by now. Indeed, she did have the Knightress identity, which is basically Huntress and is a lot of black.
