Reminds me of the time the comics revealed that the Iron Fist had once defeated the Phoenix.
Well, they are secret.
Harold got all excited when Danny said he can destroy the Hand. So clearly, Harold wants to use him as a pawn. This seems to make Ward (who tried to KILL Danny) feel bad for Danny.
I don't understand why they did that in the first place. Its not Asian, thats just where the door opens. Yet they seem to be ACTUALLY ripping off Asian whatever to flesh out K'un L'un. Its making the city way less interesting when its just some Chinese-Tibetan guys.
::winces:: I know its expected but..I do not like their dynamic.
Mark Hamill was more endearing as the Joker than Danny Rand here.
I have a bad feeling Kyle isn't going to make it.
Harold wanted Danny basically kept prisoner. Ward's thugs were beating him up. Didn't see any intent to kill.
The doctor's acting was wonderful. You could just see in his face when he was thinking "Oh shit, he's just traumatized—I could help this one!" and when he fell back into "Oh crap, he's delusional."
Harold Meachum would've gotten video footage.
Also, for a rich guy, his haircut sucks.
Hallway fight too!
I disagree. Comic book Danny has usually been very charming and sweet with his village idiocy. Netflix Danny acts smoothly knowledgeable around everything but is angry and unlikable. He is more of a bully than Ward, who comes across like a sociopath in Danny's memories. I'm at the end of ep.4 and I love all the…
I tend to feel automatically hostile to Fox's control of mutants too. I'd just be more comfortable if they were friendlier to Marvel (and gave back Fantastic Four).
I'm actually enjoying trying to figure out the siblings. Both of them are practiced deceivers with conflicting desires. It doesn't feel like anything they say can be taken fully at face value.
Daredevil complained that he could still hear Stick doing this in his memories once, so it seems legit.
I would have been way more interested in Danny wondering if he had a mental illness because of dimensional crossing jetlag or something.
He would still be 'Asian guy who is supergood at vaguely East Asian-style martial arts' though. And a ninja. All the other details don't take away the main, which are definitely Asian stereotypes.
Sorry, no. Wearing clothing is also considered a form of speech.
