Logan accidentally dying would be the best plot point yet. Even better than a robot getting self-awareness and killing him. Logan reminds me of the worst type of gamer, who hangs out in the newbie zone, hacking themselves to get godpower, then killing the npcs so nobody else can play. He was completely incompetent…
Complaining because objectionable characters do objectionable things is missing the point of fiction.
More likely, their buyers don't want to be confronted with racism in their entertainment. Lots of people of color enjoy escapism and don't enjoy having to deal with real life problems disturbing the fun.
