I have to admit I assumed that he was a rival, doing this to mess with Ford's business.

Well…this is the superhero world where most of the NYPD was dirty. People in police stations probably get assaulted daily. I'm reminded of a scene from Agent Carter where she just watches a prisoner being beaten in interrogation. And Claire herself aided Daredevil to torture a gangster. Misty seems to have reason…
It figures that only Wolverine figured out that drowning was the best way to kill his similarly powered son, Daken.
I enjoyed everything Claire getting threatened by a hero type. Claire can be a little too Wise Woman smug at telling everyone the Right Thing. But I also enjoyed her keeping her cool about it, because she does seem to understand their psychology pretty well.
His voice was awesome, when he wasn't using stupid dialogue or bad Bible quotes. Love Tony Todd!
Luke Cage never wanted to be the Black show. It wanted to be a superhero from Black Harlem show. They were well aware that the innate silliness of the concept limited their ability to do more.
Despite my complaints, I enjoyed it, but I'm a Luke Cage comic book fan and cannot be objective.
I did like the finale, even with the awful comic-accurate costume of Diamondback's.
For the target audience, perhaps. The only black culture moment I loved was when Mariah said she didn't want to kill Candace, because it was a black history building!
Misty's superdetection should probably be seen in line with Matt Murdock's legal skills and Karen Page's journalism.
She needs to lose that arm first!
Okay, "get to the fireworks factory"—after what happened in Agents of SHIELD—is the funniest line ever.
Metatextually, appearing in Jessica Jones' Alias comic was what brought his character out of limbo. That was his comeback.
Yep. Cottonmouth's line about outsiders with arcane powers was a "burn the witch!" rally.
I just watched the names for the Dr Strange actors, and at the end of the list there were two names saying "WITH". Which was like, what? What does that MEAN?
Reminds me of a Kingpin argument in the books. He brought up the history of New York City, and how much of it was built by corruption.
Maybe Bobby goes bad?
This is probably why they didn't include his usual partner, Commanche. Nobody'd take Shades as seriously with a black Hawkeye in tow.
Am I the only who keeps misreading it as "Crispus Attacks!"
Yeah, I"m fully expecting he gets more cheerful and humorous when he's not a fugitive.
