Funny, but thats the way it is in the comic book too. For all the people of New York love Daredevil and respect him, Matt Murdock and Foggy are lawyers and not working class people. There is a class distance.

I thought Misty was wearing thick chunky heels when in pants? I assumed the silhouette was meant to evoke Misty's blaxploitation inspiration, Foxy Brown. Professional dancers are incredibly active in heels and chunky heels would seem much easier.

It only crops up in the comic book tie-in and her visit to Turk.

Jessica's community are the victims of abuse IMO. The tiny group of Killgrave survivors were symbolic of a much larger group in the comic book. Other than that, she tended to deny being a hero, participating as Roc Kit indicates for personal matters.

It was fine for me, as an adult and a former fan of Power Man/Iron Fist. My son, though, was a little bored. Daredevil is the only Netflix show he could get through.

I was gonna click, then saw the horrified reactions. I'll live in blissful ignorance, I think.

Yep, Tone started a countdown by disobeying orders stupidly. Killing his boss's friend just ended things right then.

In the binge comments, someone suggested that 'Black Mariah' might have come from Mariah's time being sent away to private schools. If the majority of private school girls were white, "Its black Mariah!" might have been a hateful childhood nickname.

Yes, I'm expecting that the Man in Black is just your typical fanatical gamer, possibly playtesting Ford's new storyline.

The milk focus is weird. I guess it resembles the plastic gunk that the bodies get dipped in.

The invisible 'voice of God' might have been a preprogrammed command.

Dehumanization covers a lot of themes. However, it is all about projecting humanity that doesn't exist (until the show tells us this is more than illusion).

Or for the benefit of the human technicians.

I wondered if they created fake flies for verisimilitude.

I don't recall a specific reference to a specific event. There is always gang violence in Hell's Kitchen in the Marvel universe so it might not have meant anything. Netflix and network tv are nowhere concurrent.

Good point, I'd forgotten. I suppose LMDs can't be servants!

I do wonder if they will ever be influenced by the Marvel evil Superman, Hyperion?

..Now I want a whole episode of Sorkinesque dialogue. Walking and talking and closeups. We never even see Supergirl, just hear about her exploits off-camera.

There's a theory that Jimmy's flexibility is partly why they chose an actor who comes across more like a football player than a real nerd type.

Those are a lot of excuses.
