Its actually an upgrade of Claire's original comic book role, which was The Love Interest for Luke. There, when they broke up, she was gone. Here, if they break up, they still have to deal with each other.

I might be influenced by the comics, where Claire and Luke were One True Loves for a while.

No, but that doesn't matter. Sex is sex is sex.

Oh I loved Mariah so much when she started listing simple ways to kill Luke. So pragmatic. I think Cottonmouth's focus on a magic bullet was part of his characterization. In his world, you ended your enemy with a gun. Diamondback was crazy so he went for the crazy choices.

You said you wanted WOC to be able to be loved. You're fighting for the Claire/Luke ship over other possibles. You are shipping. Talking about shipping, talking about shipping you don't like. Its shipwars!

Love interest = sex interest in this context.

Luke: My lawyer will use this convenient file to free me from Seagate!

That could be funny. I guess they could have Matt say "Oh Karen isn't talking to me, she's still upset about me telling her" to excuse them not being together yet.

I've seen a number of Power Man/Iron Fist/Daredevil threesomes suggested..

Yeah, I was hoping for that when the critics lied and said Misty wasn't a love interest in Luke Cage.

I have no problem with Claire sleeping with all them! It was the problematic will they-won't they then come to the finale kiss but the love interest is left waiting at home for lovey poo to return. I don't want Claire and Luke acting married. I'd be happy if they have a brief ship, then Claire dumps him for reasons.

Oh that I agree with! It can be as simple as 'she likes this one better'.

I think its a retcon. I seem to recall him growing up with some of his Harlem tormentors, who are why he went to prison, and that being why he goes back in disguise for revenge. The Secret Brother in the South is newer.

Misty and Claire were both love interests. That is a fact. You can't make the sexuality go away by not acknowledging it.

No one's criticized the idea of Misty Knight hooking up with Luke and probably going to be an Iron Fist love interest. But Claire and Luke were a canon ship that was dull in the books, and it seems dull (tho realistic) in the show. There are far more interesting girlfriends Luke has had in the books.

Well, some people were cheering for the Asian elements in Luke Cage. That's basically what Power Man and Iron Fist was about (and Daughters of the Dragon). As popular as this was, I think more will prefer the Heroes for Hire fusion.

Claire's perfection is a problem. It makes it more likely she'll be Coulson'd in Defenders.

Someone said that it was better than DD season 2 but I disagree. Even if you didn't like the ninjas, the story flowed and made sense. We had all the foreshadowing and weird mystic ninja stuff hinted at. It just wasn't as exciting as it should have been.

Yes, Claire was Luke's savior rebound girlfriend after Reva. But their relationship does suck IMO.

Tony Stark is into mom's. Just ask Spider-man!
