Folsom State: Come for the granola, Stay for the BINGO nights!
Are you sure about that? The memo seemed like they were exiting both...
Just a quick shout-out to Christopher Madden. That article header is some dang good work!
It's from HP though.
Replying to everyone who replied to me. You are all morons. The device itself does absolutely nothing internet related.
I refuse to feed the troll in this situation. It's completely asinine to assume that 2 computers on 1 desk connected to each other by 1 cable would be susceptible to a man in the middle attack.
I didn't say it wasn't useful...I said it was a waste. There's a difference.
Oh look, a $100 device that does the same exact thing as a $0.35 crossover cable! AWESOME!!!
That would be a complete waste of the technology, even if every computer had a thunderbolt port.
Some people NEED high speed external storage devices. If you were a professional photographer or videographer, you would understand the pain of having to transfer large amounts of data in the currently available media landscape. Any transfer involving over 100GB of data is painfully slow.
Thanks spectrumfox. After downloading and installing VirtualBox (ugh), I was able to get it running....but I did have to manually enable IO APIC first :)
lol, thanks for the lesson.
1Mb/s and 1mb/s are commonly accepted as interchangeable.
BOX OF USEFUL UGLY!
"this thing" is free, but can't be used in any real-world sense. It will crash on you 400x a day.
They didn't "replace" anything, there is a choice between the two.
1Mb/s means "1 megabit per second". There's no such thing as a millibit.
a business ;p
