That would be a complete waste of the technology, even if every computer had a thunderbolt port.

Some people NEED high speed external storage devices. If you were a professional photographer or videographer, you would understand the pain of having to transfer large amounts of data in the currently available media landscape. Any transfer involving over 100GB of data is painfully slow.

Thanks spectrumfox. After downloading and installing VirtualBox (ugh), I was able to get it running....but I did have to manually enable IO APIC first :)

lol, thanks for the lesson.

1Mb/s and 1mb/s are commonly accepted as interchangeable.

BOX OF USEFUL UGLY!

"this thing" is free, but can't be used in any real-world sense. It will crash on you 400x a day.

They didn't "replace" anything, there is a choice between the two.

1Mb/s means "1 megabit per second". There's no such thing as a millibit.

a business ;p

Uh oh! 1/2 way into loading files for installation.

I downloaded SQL this afternoon and it went at 400KB/s the full way through. I ALWAYS get slow speeds from msdn.

874KB/s!! Very surprising for a *.microsoft.com download.

No. You don't.

That's a very interesting PDF!! Thanks for using it to shut someone up, I enjoyed :)

That's awesome, I wish I could get an original one from eBay or something and frame it. Couldn't be more than $100, right? They can't be that rare :/

I had the original one, then I manually updated it to: "from my iPhone 3G", "from my iPhone 3GS", "from my iPhone 4" on the day of release right after I got each. Does that make me a nerd? I have sex sometimes...I promise :(

Almost every business in the world who has VOIP service uses those same exact Cisco phones. It's pretty much "the standard" phone now in an enterprise.

Boy that white and grey old school Microsoft optical wheel mouse sticks out like a sore thumb, doesn't he?

The Partnership For A Drug-Free America would be so proud...
