I agree jamiej831. I just don't like that these astronomers or astrophysicists or "space scientists"...whatever they choose to call themselves...assume they know everything about the universe just by relating things they observe to things they know. That is a large part of the study of science (obviously), but if

You're not convincing me...

Somebody fell right in to that one...

I'm sorry but Kevin Mitnick is highly overrated. He was one of the best of his time, but times have changed. Although he is still in the whitehat business and does still perform valuable work for security and private firms, he ultimately can't hold a candle to the most skilled security experts of today's world. WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN TO APPLE'S FIFTH AVENUE STORE!?

I don't understand how they figure out what a planet is "made out of" and/or how dense it is. The best it can possibly be is a best guess based on the information they have.

Mr. Gates is responsible for 0% of the PC market. He makes software......and zunes.

Let's be honest(er), if Woz was in control of Apple, it would have died loooooong ago......Oh wait....nah, it wouldn't have died......it would be called Radio Shack!!

to be fair to be fair to be fair

Woz has always been my favorite Steve. Obviously, Jobs has the business sense, but Wozniak will always be my nerd hero. <3

Maybe it's just me, but while HP does make pretty decent printers/copiers the boatload of crap they force upon the standard user when setting up the device makes me tend to shy away from recommending them to people.

Wow, HP seems to be in somewhat of a free fall. What the hell are they going to be doing next year? I guess they "maybe" still have some business customers and datacenter stuff...maybe...but wtf?

Somebody might want to tell that to the Japanese government, since...you know...they've already told thousands of residents who live in the surrounding area it's ok. :(

This article is hilarious! Thank you Mat Honan, sir. Thank you for bringing a bit of joy to the end of my horrible horrible day.

wtf does the material the back is made of have to do with water resistance?

It takes literally 5 seconds to google an image and post it in the comments. You sir, need to internet faster.

All cable companies suck.

ok ok, I guess it's a rat.

/agree. Companies should make a better effort to improve the water resistance of their gadgets. As stated in the article, all they really need is a couple of O rings to seal 'er up.
