Sorry, I thought you were talking about converting to "old style menus" in Windows 8. Yeah, you're right, in 2007/10 office right click > minimize does the trick...but I still don't like the huge graphic buttons, even if it does "only appear when I need it".

The problem with "hiding the ribbon" is when you do so, you lose the functionality of all of those buttons. Sure, "some" remain in the context menus, but unfortunately not all.

My thoughts exactly atrus123. I understand the need to cater to tech-handicapped individuals, but I think there's a better way to do it than with huge graphic buttons all over the place stabbing you in the eye with visual horrors.

There's a town by the space center called Tittyville? Sounds like a great place to live imo...

The Ribbon Sucks! Microsoft keeps raping my screen space more and more with every release....Why can't we just continue using menus? They seem to work just fine, and don't take up a gigantor amount of eye space. Even the WORD ribbon is a fat fatty. It's called a "tab" people. 1 syllable, no bulk.

You can use a capacitive stylus on an iPad just fine.

NES has 8 buttons, so what's the big deal? eight!? Eight!? Eight!?! EIGHT!?!!

haha, Minecraft Toaster Engine just sitting there turning out charred bread all day long would be pretty nice!

Sort of like the last typewriter repairman, aye iCurmudgeon?

Am I the only person here who doesn't have a single song or video on their iPhone or iPad? I sometimes wonder if the rest of the world has heard of streaming services...

My $8.00 toaster can make 4 toasts at once. This thing looks cool, but probably costs $200 or so....and can only make 1 toast. Rich people make me cry :(

Only females can write in cursive and make it pretty :(

hahaha, good point. I feel sorry for the stock models that end up in STD commercials, lol.

"The iPad wasn't the first tablet." Obviously correct

I think a subscription-based laptop with built in hardware refreshes is a very interesting idea. Especially if you can pay for a full year up front.

Exactly correct Dinosaur!

50,000 units is a lot more than I expected. Kudos to RIM for maintaining that the playbook is a viable device.

cool headline graphic.

B&O keychain - $89.99 + $12 ship

It's probably already an amazing TV. Why did they have to go ruin it with a worthless motorized mount that probably no one will use?
