Yeah, a lot of scandalized snowflakes on this thread. I mean, it’s an excruciatingly awkward moment that’s playing out in real time, and people are reacting on the fly. Kimmel is a comedian and he was just trying to punctuate the humor of this massive fuck up.

Yes dog forbid a comedian host use levity to defuse a situation.

Jordan Horowitz is the real winner of last night’s Oscars.

I didn’t expect the film to move me so much and to feel so inspired after viewing. Critics seem to think the relationship is shallow, but it seems to me they understood each other, nurtured each other’s artistry, and their lives were transformed for the better thanks to their mutual love.

A lot of the staff write callous and snarky things for no reason.

I thought the same thing about Rich’s characterization, The man could not have been more gracious, during what must have been an epically humiliating moment.

Yea I don’t know why Rich Juzwiak feels the need to be such a shit head about this. Talk about alternative facts

I know it’s popular to hate on La La Land nowadays, but I feel the same way. It was just the movie I needed to see at the end of December when everyone was talking about what a horrible year 2016 had been. It made me feel carefree and happy, and there’s nothing wrong with a movie that does that.

“Moonlight: Best Picture,” spat Horowitz.

Aw, La la land was so lovely I truly wished it had won best picture.

For the utter shit show this was, I thought the La La Land producers handled things very well. Let’s not SHIT on them for a mistake that wasn’t their fault, okay?

Yeah, I thought the Lala Land producers handled it with exceptional grace. They took it on themselves to announce that they hadn’t won, quickly got out the message that Moonlight had won, and tried to reassure the Moonlight team that this was all real and they should get up on stage. Like that’s a lot of crazy in

Yeah, I don’t see how else they could have handled it. I mean, I wanted Moonlight to win, but the La La Land people made the kind of movie they want to make and did a good job of it by all accounts, and I’m not going to wish ill on them just because it’s not my cup of tea. I’m sure they’re mostly nice people who

Yeah, I agree. It seemed like he was trying to make it right as quickly and clearly as possible.

He had a great performance in MbtS, deserving of the award. One can separate his performance in the role from his accused abhorrent behaviour off screen.

Moonlight: Best Picture,” spat Horowitz.

“The night’s final award for Best Picture was initially announced by Warren Beatty as belonging to La La Land,...”

He was handsome a decade ago. I ate at an LA restaurant in 2006 where he was turning the heads of every woman in the place, and probably some of the men. And then he apparently took the express train to crazy town.

During that same period, she also apparently dated Q-Tip, Adrien Brody and Robbie Williams. She has done very well in the dating field (Tom Cruise aside)

Nah, he actually is a good director. There’s plenty to give him shit for, no need to make up falsities.
