what a weird world we live in...a death threat takes on more importance when it's @ your victim. note: not a knock on your comment, just a strange state of affairs.

I know many people who don't like Gamergate who are tired of it. They're not alone. I was talking to a Gamergater

Yes! Resting bitch face. Whatever. Who walks around just smiling for no reason? Especially in NYC. The crazies on the trains and streets would never leave you alone.

I have the same problem! Except that I'm a black woman and my resting face is generally expressionless. So I get a lot of the "angry black woman" bs.

I have to "femme" up my voice because otherwise people think I'm angry or moody.

As a black male, I personally raise the timbre of my voice and try to feminize it a bit in order to be less threatening at work.

My mother hates calling me at work for this reason.

Except that the gamergate movement started as a campaign to harass Zoe Quinn in the first place, and then started to claim it was about "journalistic ethics" to smokescreen against that behavior. Kind of hard not to characterize a movement as misogynistic when its very origins were just exactly that.

Well let's see- here's a list of GamerGate's claims and what they've accomplished. I think it's a pretty clear picture.

You mean like how Kotaku is accused of having one of their authors review a game after Zoe Quinn slept with them? Except that said review never happened?
