Romero made The Amusement Park on commission for The Lutheran Society...”

Wilder was so good. Sunset Boulevard could have been a straight film noir, but it’s funny (darkly funny) as hell. Double Indemnity - ever-tightening suspense, but with hilarious banter and gentle workplace humor to boot.   Stalag 17 ? a war drama, but grimly funny. Witness for the Prosecution, which I haven’t seen in

A master indeed. Ace in the Hole is one of his absolute greatest works.

I’ve never seen this - will definitely have to check it out. No the hugest Jimmy Stewart fan, but when he was great he was great.

I’m just guessing here, but some of the variation may be due to location. In general, the more densely populated the area, the more strict the lockdowns were, the more strictly enforced they were, and the more people followed them. So maybe, for instance, Maggiano’s did worse than Chili’s because you tend to find

Chicken in a Biskit did it first. Just sayin’.

Does Ross, the largest friend, finally eat the other friends?

Seventeen years is odd timing for a reunion

Powdered milk is severely underrated. Keeps forever and is so versatile.

I am far more likely to have heavy cream (and sour cream) in my fridge than milk. It keeps longer. Halved with water it can sub for whole milk, and it’s so good. Plus there’s always dry non-fat milk.

Yes, the time frame isn’t hammered home, but it’s contemporary: there are smart phones. There is also a side story about dreamers. FWIW, $96k is still a damn big deal to most people.

Hardee’s biscuits are fan-fucking-tastic! Definitely the best aside from Bojangle’s, but that’s regional, anyway. They used to have really good deals on gravy biscuits, but they’ve doubled in price since the last time I ate there on the regular.

A Silent (but Deadly) Place

I still think Krasinski missed the boat by not introducing aliens for other senses. Like ones who just use smell. The humans use deodorants to make themselves invisible to the aliens, but then one of the survivors farts out of fear.

Despite its warts and a kind of weak ending, I really liked this sketch.

Right?! It was the funniest sketch of the show. The only people who I’ve seen get mad are those who hold the Muppets up as some untouchable gods. You have hecklers at a live show and security finally did something about it. It’s pretty straightforward comedy.

I uh… I laughed the most at this sketch…

“Whedon’s current issues stem from his recent wedding to Canadian artist Heather Horton”

You still owe use $500 for that, you pricks.

Oh come on, Loki usurping Odin’s day is totally on brand for him.
