My Mom thinks the 80's version is hilarious. Especially the scenes she calls the Blob - Cam.
omg! Which episode is that? I've been trying to get into Dr. Who and watching them all out of order according to episodes that interest me. That one looks like fun.
A sequel would've been cool. Worldwide Blob destructo-porn!
Yes. It Does. I was just watching it a few weeks ago at work and in broad daylight. Noped out about halfway through it. The creep factor is still there.
Yeah, I d love to see some flashbacks to how a lot of the other characters handled the initial outbreak and it's direct aftermath.
Did you ever notice that shows and movies usually stick to the post apocalyptic scenarios? Not all of them but most do. We rarely get to be right in the middle of the apocalypse as it happens. Even The Walking Dead is post-apoc. And I love that show, so I hope this one goes there.
And yet...
They have to make up the lies and they have to believe them because the alternative of realizing what horrible things they do or what horrible people they are is too much to contemplate.
What will we win? Just curious.
Yes, maybe we should discard that phrase. I think I tried to explain to a co worker of mine that what would happen is that the weather would develop strange patterns. Like the massive snowstorm that hits in early November or the heat wave that precedes it in October.
I have never understood this. Why would you just watch it and watch it and wait a wait until the last possible second to do something. I've been getting a lot of "well, let's wait and see", from people I know, too.
I'm not exactly sure of the distinction but I think one of my co-workers is of the second variety. She knows what's being said but absolutely refuses to contemplate that the scientists might be right. She's completely uninterested in knowing more and would prefer to shop and hang out with her friends then engage with…
Sorry, my bad! In my defense, however, all these destruction porn movies feel like they were done by the same person though.
Does anyone else feel like Michael Bay has just been remaking Independence Day, over and over and over? Only with younger and younger oversexualized women?
Ditto!
True, but at that point in the narrative Zod was completely human and utterly helpless and Superman knew that. Why it feels wrong or out of character is because it feels like a petty thing for him to do, compared to how his character was written in the cartoons and comic books.
The difference between living to work and working to live?
I was just mentioning this up thread. Wondering at the professional quality of those signs and if that was a business.
My first thought was: There's a company that makes signs like that? That was a business?
