Lauren: I think all of these were absolutely wonderful but my all time fave is The Gunfighter. I haven't laughed so hard in a very, very long d**n time.

Indeed. It's a rare experience, I've only had maybe twice in my entire career, but I wouldn't call them high performance organizations. They weren't scientific or military, but teamwork was a requirement.

Exactly! If someone says they saw a ghost, well no...we're not superstitious enough to believe in ghosts, but we know you experienced Something.

For me the standout episode for perfectly illustrating this ideal, is when Data has the recurring dream. The other characters believe him ( not without some hiccups) and in the course of investigating ,discover a new race of beings.

And it's not all as sunshiney and rosey as people would think. There is a surprising amount of misogyny and racism and just plain old competitiveness in the sciences.

Yeah, but he would have grown up to be a Black Man and apparently those are illegal.

Just a plethora of macho bulls**t in that particular post.

Oh, there's enough room.

They're also supposed to be fun.

This is the exact response from every right harder I've ever gotten. They all wonder if it's uncomfortable for me to write left handed, and tell me it looks awkward. Depending on my mood that day, my response is either annoyance, puzzlement or laughter.

It's okay, you can get away with making this snark even more generic - A Black man was was there!

Point taken!
