Funny how quick the 2nd amendment crowd shows their true colors....

Seattle resident here, just to put things into perspective since pretty much all media seems to be blowing this out of all proportions for various reasons. No the whole town isn’t out of control...

Sadly, it’s not out of line to be suspicious of the motives of cops kneeling. I can easily see some of them doing it to outwardly appear to be supporting protesters, but also a new CODE for SUPPORTING Derek Chauvin.

Are we sure the gesture doesn’t mean “I’m going to put you under my knee!” ?

I find the whole “cops kneeling too” to be in poor taste anyway. It’s like they’re demonstrating the move that caused this whole thing. Civilians are kneeling in a poignant move of ironic civil disobedience. When cops do it, they’re just displaying their unchecked force. There are other ways police can show support.

Note as well.

American here. We are a world leader, all right. World leader in cruelty.

It’s ALWAYS been despicable.

From where do you get the notion that it has ever been anything but what it is now? I wouldn’t call the nation as a whole ‘despicable’, but its love affair with frontier-style justice and macho fetishism goes as deep as slavery, and that has never been otherwise. Call it a horrific quirk; most nations have a few. Of

Cops right now are making the best case for abolishing police departments.

The series starts in a world that’s already been devastated by the Captain Trips virus, which was unleashed thanks to a lab accident. We learn more about what happened through a series of flashbacks, but the focus is on where the characters are now after it’s all over.

I love Carbon Creek; it’s my favorite episode of ENT!

I’m in the minority in that I really liked most of Enterprise (yes, even it’s unconventional opening credits). That having been said, the final episode is awful.

As a casual Trek fan at best Enterprise is possibly the only Trek show I’ve seen every episode of. More because of my age relative to when it aired than it’s specific quality (for example TNG wasn’t really on my radar at 6 years old). That said I do have a soft spot for it, and having recently rewatched it I’d say

This list proves what many of us have been saying for a long time: the show got cancelled just when it got good. 17 out of 22 episodes (I refuse to count the finale) in the last season made the list, and I can’t argue against any of them.

The Wild Rose in Seattle is the oldest lesbian bar on the west coast. They’re trying to raise money to stay afloat, and they’re only a few $k away from their goal.

Have you watched ANY popular SF shows?

If you can’t watch shows right now, I’m not sure when you’ll ever get the time...

I like that Seven seems to be straight-up gay, and all the VOY malarkey was just post-deassimilation confusion and finding her nonBorg identity.

Well, Zoom now has that fake background. How ‘bout shooting it from home?
