Please take super good care of yourself. Those post-parting hormones really mess you up. I howled for a day and a night for the parents of the Heaven’s Gate cult because that happened about a week after my son was born. I can’t imagine how challenging it will be to ride out this upheaval.

At least, I’m hoping, your child will be too young to remember the next four years. Small consolation, I know. Stay strong. And congratulations on your new addition. *internet hug*

“When fascism comes to America it will be wrapped in a flag and carrying a cross”.

A Pence presidency might be just as dangerous.

I keep thinking of the many-worlds interpretation of Quantum Physics and how I feel like I ended up in the wrong branch of the universe, like Time made a wrong turn or I jumped into a parallel universe.

Oppose him at every goddamn turn. Make our voices heard. Remember: his opponent earned more votes than him. He is a narcissist who feeds off of adulation. If he we starve him, make him beg for our approval, then he’ll cave. He desires people’s approval. He can be beaten.

Just think, a ton of people who lived through WWII voted for this.

I am so grateful for the dismiss button today. I wish I had that option in real life. Someone’s talking shit about women or minorities and you’re done? Dismiss. And then they simply disappear from your presence to be deposited somewhere you’re not.

His minions craved a strong dose of keeping it real followed by a chaser of telling it like it is- they didn’t realize the side effects included insanity, evil, loss of their fellow humans’ respect and death.

The most awesome thing about this is how much damage it will do to the people who actually voted for this person.

My IRC chat style was defined by using ` instead of a standard ‘. So it was like, “hey what`s up?? did y`all see hanson`s newest people interview?!?”

I might have stuck with vegetarianism longer if I hadn’t been worn down by people not knowing what to feed me, fussing about food around me, taking me to “vegetarian” restaurants (some of which were admittedly quite good). It was like having a laser beam on me every time I sat down to eat at someone else’s house.

i voted for gore in 2000 but told everyone i voted for nader so as not to ostracize myself from the communities of portlandia.

I used to listen to Dr. Laura.

Uh-huh. So.... the only way to change anything is to vote one way, which just happens to be how you think? What’s the point of democracy if we’re just going to all pick the same thing anyway?

I’m being driven by the thought of all the time I wasted doing kegels so I could hold a tiny pencil down there.

Voting irrationally is crossing out candidates names on the ballat and writing your own in for every position. Voting because you want that candidate to win is not.

Voting for either the Republicans or Democrats isn’t a viable path to change our system either.

Wasn’t a fan when Killer Mike said it, not a fan if it now. Vote for Stein, vote for Clinton or ... other choices, it’s fine. But don’t imply that people voting differently than you are voting irrationally or because they’re being driven by things that aren’t their brains.

You know what’s a good advertisement for veganism? Normal vegans. My sister-in-law cooks delicious food, eats in normal restaurants, and rarely preaches (she got a little obsessed with the Blue Zone Diet and made my brother give up meet so they could both live to be 100). She’s healthy and happy and would never eat 51
