Yep. This is why we old broads keep harping at the Youngs to keep history in perspective & not rest on any imaginary laurels because “we already have feminism and equal rights, it’s over”..... This kind of shit was happening while we were teenagers, young adults, college students. The 80s & 90s were the Backlash

Nice to know that Wal-Mart has always been on the wrong side of history.

My friend went into a Target yesterday, and saw a bunch of onesies that said “Future President” in with the boy baby clothes. There were no such onesies on the girl baby clothes side. She took half of them off the rack and moved them to the girl side, which is why we are friends.

But remember, feminists are the ones who are "hysterical" and "over emotional" and "thin skinned."

Did you read the article? They changed the dress code after the fact. I mean, brush up on the reading comprehension a bit if you want to call someone an idiot.

The irony of the people insisting she should have read the job’s requirements before agreeing to the job, not reading the article itself.

The dress code said clothing had to be “cleaned and pressed”, her boss changed it after she wore an “cultural headwrap” (aka a God damn scarf). The first outfit (the one with the red “x”) is what she wore, which should be perfectly acceptable in just about any office.

Lol @ professionalism.

According to the article, the dress code changed after her boss said something. Pretty hard to read something that doesn’t exist.

Two things- first, if that first outfit was an example of her attire, that literally makes her boss a racist as nothing was wrong with that entire unless it was too “ethnic” besides the bandanna on her head, which is easily fixable.

“despite the unnamed company’s dress code simply stating that employee’s clothing needed to be “clean and pressed”.”

Didn’t read the article? The boss changed the dress code after the fact because they didn’t want pony tails or head scarves.

You really have to question yourself when you tell someone not to do something “cultural”. Shame on that boss.

refusing to acknowledge a genderqueer person’s chosen pronouns because you’re unfamiliar with it is transphobic as fuck, fyi.

Uh oh. I think we’re gonna rumble.

Alls I’m gonna say is s.e. smith has a history of being...ungenerous with assumptions.
