You may have stated that in jest, I can't tell, but I did have a first this past week where I had a relative's BlackBerry that refused to charge using one of my many USB cables. I could not figure out why at all... I'm a monoprice-type cable person, as far as I am concerned all cables are equal.

However, most devices (at least the better quality ones) regulate and only draw up to the maximum safe Amperage. You don't need service for the App. It syncs using cryptography and current time. Never needs a connection, your phone just needs correct UTC time.

G+ is what I prefer using. Why? Because almost none of my family/friends use it.

I don't use G+ for a social network... in fact I hardly have any friends/family circled. But the conversations are definitely mostly on a higher level.

Basically I can see you are pretty computer literate, I was just not trying to be too technical as that would confuse too many people. Tried to keep it simple... :)
