Java can go the way of Flash for all I care. It has no place on the desktop environment in my opinion.

In general I find problems such as inconsistent aliasing, font problems, multi-monitor support and retina DPI issues in various apps. It's just not what I'm used to when working on Mac. On Linux I love it, works well with all the other apps.

I don't really like X11/ported apps. The user experience is usually sub-par. (speaking of macports/X11 on Mac ... on Linux they are perfect)

$100 is a lot of money. If it is wasted. Currently I'm not even going to put in the effort to return the faulty equipment as I don't use it at the moment. (my problem)
