Well, the problem is not only with South African English... British English would also work better than US, but this too has the same issues... No automatic start with saying "Google.." etc.

Never heard of it, I too prefer OS X as a environment... just offers the most flexibility.
I loved them all, almost all.
By walking out on our family, he taught me responsibility to my loved ones.
One thing to note, only certain English dialects work in offline mode. Google seems to have a real hard time recognizing my speech when set to the default US English. It does a better job when I set it to my dialect (English - South Africa)... however, it cannot offline this language AND saying "Google..." does not…
Macs are for most of your non-technical family members for whom you cannot give aid to (in another city/country etc.).
The 3 important features (for me) are:
Yup, kinda what I said, just put in a "nice" way. ;)
Yup, I've had a much better experience just blindly ordering products from Amazon, and returning it if it was not exactly what I wanted (or as described).
Not so no hassle for me. They refused to return my tablet which had sensitivity issues since they were not 100% sure it was "such a big issue" and they did not want to risk Samsung sending my device back. They insisted I deal with Samsung myself.
I like buying things at stores that do the effort of showcasing and let me touch the items. But I've had such a bad experience returning something I bought at BestBuy, that I won't buy from them for that reason.
Very nice site, now only if I can remember to go there the next time I shop!
So then NOT "available for all Android phones" then.
I found "Profile Scheduler" to be good at this. (And simple) If you need more technical nitty-gritty control, there is always "Tasker"
That can be both good and bad. Being far away from support means that you sometimes have no one else to talk to... but this means you get to work it out, I guess...
Yup, that's exactly our situation, fortunately our daughter goes to school at least half-day, so she does take some art classes and does painting etc. during that time. I have a few 'tasks' when I come home at night like bath duty. :) Basically our daughter drives her nuts after a whole day, and she enjoys that time…
Good for you! We've tried to do exactly this and mostly succeeded. But lately due to our current legal status, my wife cannot work, and thus she gets to do more of the housework. Even though we work roughly the same amount I still feel guilty mostly because we don't do much of the sucky work together anymore.
This is an important point. I basically cleared out most of my apartment and let my girlfriend (now wife) redecorate and furnish as she pleased. I was not attached to much stuff so this was not a problem, but I can imagine other people who might not be as easy.
Perhaps it's only nostalgia, but I really like the loud clicky ones. I fondly remember a time doing some programming on a IBM Model M and love using my DAS keyboard.
Yes, but it's worth repeating twice. ;)
