@drongch: I second this... I've moved around about 7 times in the past two years, and wish I could have bought my kindle sooner. I don't want to get an extra room just for books anymore.

@gtheule: you almost make a good point, but in this case they state that the web clip promises relevant news, but instead gives an ad. Plus Google gives you the choice, so it's not borderline unethical.

I would perhaps use another client, but most of these 3td party tools require a hosted service and account, and then store your GTalk credentials online... I don't want my Google Credentials stored anywhere... I just don't trust them enough to touch my GTalk.

@diasdiem: I don't watch TV, I only watch web-based. I have not watched 'TV' in about 10 years now. The reason for this is ads. Unfortunately I've moved recently and some of my service are not available. So I've been watching stuff on Hulu... and hating it. As soon as the current series we are following on Hulu are

If only there was a non-browser-only version for Gtalk for Mac. But when I use Skype with family abroad I invariably turn video on.

Yea.... ok.

@MSI, Sir Captain Man: Pity you can't share anything larger than 2Gb with most free users. I wanted this for my account, but after I read how their sharing works, I was not prepared to upgrade both my wife and my accounts. I'm waiting for a cheaper option for music backup. Why is 50Gigs dropbox $100/year, but

I used Psi, Trillian and GTalk IM for the longest time on windows/linux.

Easy to explain why FireFox is remaining steady... it's a conduit for all the IE users to move to Chrome!

Having tries all of the ones suggested here and more, I've finally settled on Subsonic. Basically have a server on my PC pointing to my iTunes music files, and this app streams/plays and caches all my music over 3G. I can also play it via the web interface at work. Depending on what Google does soon I think I'm pretty

@Jeb_Hoge: EQ is already on my device's audio settings... no point in duplicating functionality.

IE does not even run on OS X.

@Jason Weaver: Sure. They have the right to recline; but not the right to crush my kneecaps before at least asking if it's ok.

@robot-shmobot: except for sliders... I think I stopped watching halfway in season 5.
