that’s why I put a / inside...

The robot ghost itself isn’t RE, the evil company, and their secret lab underneath a giant crazy person building is. (like the mansion and RPD owned and ran by crazy people)

What do you want exactly? Pure random encounters? Because in that case you’d enter a lot of failstates based on level designs or bad timing alone.

The static cult is ran by a Crazy Inmate Priest who thinks the robot ghost is a god. The evil umbrella company made the robot ghost for evil corporation reasons.

I’m saying the plot about the cult is way more interesting and scary than the comically evil company that has a nazi robot host making machine.

The baddie of Outlast was a nanomachine cloud made by the Nazi’s and an Umbrella-esq evil science corporation.

You’re kidding right? The Static Cult was way better than the Resident Evil Technothriller/Robot Ghost plot.

Yes, when you do things bad guys attack...

Almost like some sort of horror movie!

The villain was actually Nanomachines, Son.

It’s not like there was a crazy priest in the first game...

Who the teaser of this game seems to be explicitly referencing...

Now I have no problem with guns in horror, hell, I think DooM is scarier than Resident Evil even with all the guns in doom and lack of defense in RE... But something about Fatal Frame is “too much” combat...

And that thing is having a DMC-esq sick combo meter. I just can’t get invested in a horror setting when I have

Terrible or not, The original RE dialog is iconic, The Remaster was bland and forgettable.

Considering the original dialog is canon, according to Revelations 2 at least, this is how it should be.

Counter-Argument:

They must have seen the scripts for Phantom Pain and Crimson Peak

Her Smile and Optimism, Gone

Except it’s literally an upgrade, it upgrades your defense even higher.

Soma without monsters wouldn’t be that scary, it would be “Everybody’s gone to the Rapture”.

Then that means YOU ARE THE HORROR GAME

Deus Ex: The Line

It’s Bioshock, With less Ayn Rand Zombies and more existential dread...

So it’s Minerva’s Den...
