The minute they start charging an additional subscription fee for Alexa is the minute I start going back to turning on my lights and setting timers like they did in the olden days (and somehow I’ll survive).

My Alexa smart speaker barely functions as a speaker, let alone as a smart device. I’m fine with it collecting data about me, and even collecting my data, but I’ll chuck it before I pay a subscription. Now, would I be caught up in it if it was included in Prime?  Probably.
