You just need to get to B support with them and they’ll eventually come to you

This was me with Final Fantasy Tactics. I remember sitting there letting the menu music loop for an hour sometimes before actually moving on in the game, and letting battles stretch on forever for the same reason. 22 years later and I still have some of the music from it in my daily playlists.
