I have honestly really enjoyed when he gets emotional on the show, you can tell how sincere he is and how much he cares (although I'd obviously prefer that he'd not had to go through the thing with his son).

Tim Conway with the Hitler puppet and him fighting the invisible fly in the hotel room remain two of the funniest things I've ever seen. The last joke of the fly sketch makes the entire thing worth it, even if the rest of the sketch had not worked.
