Bonus tip: volunteer at the shelter or foster a cat first. That way you will know their chill factor. However, it will still be a tough call because all cats are great. Pick one and stick with it. You literally can't pick wrong.

The one that always gets me is an event that happened in senior year of high school. It was a group project (well just me and one other guy). The other guy was actually fairly helpful, considering other group partners I had, but like most male partners he took no initiative. I basically had to tell him what to do and

I didn’t bother and was sad at first, then I heard everyone’s stories. Seriously, great decision on my part.

I don’t condone violence or threats at all, but these people did this on purpose, so that people would rally around them. They knew they were going to get backlash, and in exchange they’re getting tons of money from fellow bigots. It’s the deal they made.

Haha, most people.

I always hoped I was beautiful and my mom was right and I just had low self-esteem. I was kind of right, I am really pretty, but I'm also fat (with a flat ass, the epitome of sexy in Western culture). People treat me like dog shit.

Look at mystic topaz rings! They're beautiful and cheap. Also CZ anything works.

That's why my friends had a ceremony—to see all their friends/family. They did it very, very cheap and had a pitch in for food (but did provide a lot of booze).

It's tolerable, and actually quite good with something salty like peanuts or pretzels, but no, I'm not going to go out of my way to eat hardened icing.

I am glad you said this because the first thing I thought was, "Um why husband and not ex husband?"

Perhaps unpopular opinion here, but as a straight woman, I don't want to see female pleasure. I understand what you're saying (I saw a similar point in This Film is Not Yet Rated), but I see plenty of (acted) female pleasure in porn. If I see a sex scene, I want it to show the guys pleasure, as that's what gets me

I love this comment and all these comments... It's good to know so many other women have been there!

My friend loves Woody Allen films but hated 30 Rock because Liz Lemon was basically Tina Fey.

This was pretty dumb and unnecessary of her, but it doesn't bother me as much as trademarking "This sick beat" in a song where she literally stole the line "Haters gonna hate."

Watching the Jinx and All Good Things, this makes me so angry how people then (and now) completely excuse away abusive behavior. Everyone go out and read Lundy Bancroft's Why Does He Do That? about abusive men if you haven't already. I want everyone to know the signs of an abuse.

As soon as I read that I thought, did you just try to say degrading women is okay because "everyone" (read: entitled men) are doing it? What's next? "Oh yeah, killing Black people is totally ok, we've been doing that shit for centuries."

It's mostly science, really... I'm sure other books are much easier to read, but it's also interesting, and one of the evopsych books I can get behind.

I am glad that Sex at Dawn helped you, but urgh I have soooo many problems with it academically... It's main point about monogamy is still spot on, but I couldn't read it because of the rest of its inaccuracies. If anyone else thinks they may be polyamorous but would prefer a less pop sciencey book, I recommend "The
