@pearlsdream: Growing up we had Missy, Maggie and Beau. My mom's two are Bella Blue and Lady Fuzz, Duchess of Lincoln (Bella and Duchess, really). Mine are Millennium Joy (Millie) and Harley Dude (Harley).

@pearlsdream: I've had 7 cats in two different households, too! (Three growing up at home, Mom has two now that I helped raise and still babysit from time to time, and my own two sweeties.)

@mizzmarvel: Don't forget their research into breeding themselves to have opposable thumbs!

@LLizD: The policing thing made me laugh. Oh, cats!

Actually, I've never seen either one of my cats eat their barf.

I saw this posted on Facebook, and it took my breath away. So simple, so effective. Watching the daughter's hands and then the mother's come together in slow-mo just before his body violently jolts forward—that is some incredible imagery.

@laureltreedaphne: It is, indeed, all about the extremes. And reality television, as we all know, isn't exactly about the rational, logical people!

@laureltreedaphne: For me (and, I assume, Swifter) it's the whole attitude of "I love you enough to spend my WHOLE life with you we are so romantic but if you aren't ready for that well fuck you I hate you."

@laureltreedaphne: I agree with you—but I think putting a "give me EXACTLY what I want or I'm OUT" spin on it is desperate and childish.

@GirlOverboard: As long as society continues to push the Pretty Princess, LOOK PRETTY SO PRINCE CHARMING WILL FIND YOU!! attitude, this will continue.

I was there at 10:30, in line, ready to go, wearing my Gryffindor shirt and matching scarf. I cried at the end and had chills the whole movie and think it was the BEST adaptation of any of the books yet. Bring on Part 2!!

What a lovely moment, captured forever in a picture. I wish the families at the Adoption Day much love and happiness with their new U.S. Citizens!

@artyfarty: Congratulations! So exciting that you're getting a little girl soon. You and Moretta will have to update us all about your new family members when they finally come home!

@Moretta: Congratulations! How very exciting—you must be on pins and needles with excitement.

@Swingle: Let's see: No, no, no, no, no, no and...no.

@offensive_side_of_the_conversa...: Unfortunately, they won't increase PE time for any kid—they're too busy cramming reading, 'riting and 'rithmatic down kids' throats in horrible fear of the dreaded testing. Everything else falls by the wayside.

@ameliaheartsu: Agreed, but will add one thing: Making PE fun again. Most PE teachers make the kids just run the mile, or play sports half-heartedly. There should be an emphasis on working as a team and working towards a goal—playing as well as you can, trying to win the game.

What you should say:

@Breathe: Wow! What an awesome story. Great, too, that the bully and the two bullied girls became friends. Are you still in touch?

@Lilija: Bravo, Lilija, bravo. Your son is lucky to have you, and he's learned a valuable lesson from you in this.
